SPLASHDIVING FOR LITTLE SWIMMERS
Little jumps.
Big water joy.
Already able to swim. Ready to enter the water from the pool edge. Then discover what you can do: Pool Bombs is a playful introduction to Splashdiving, with a personal pass and an instructor by your side.

NO TOWER. NO PRESSURE. YOUR PACE.
The first step
starts at the pool edge.
Pool Bombs was developed as a children’s format within Splashdiving. Not higher, faster or more daring: it is about enjoying the water, small achievements and a supported beginning.
You can already swim.
Being able to swim is the starting point. Pool Bombs is not a swimming course and does not replace swimming lessons. Actual swimming ability is checked locally with the responsible instructor.
You want to enter from the edge.
The wish comes from the child. Watching, waiting, taking a break or stopping for the day is always fine. Nobody has to jump to belong.
These are the format’s two personal entry requirements. Delivery also requires compliance with local pool rules, a suitable authorised entry area, and responsible supervision and instruction.
YOUR PASS. YOUR LITTLE ACHIEVEMENTS.
More than a tick.
Something to feel proud of.
The personal pass records the stages confirmed by the instructor. The aim is to discover the world of landing positions through play, not to finish a list as quickly as possible.
- Discover together. The instructor explains the session and selects what suits the child and the authorised pool area.
- Take your time. From the pool edge, voluntarily and with personal instruction. A website does not decide the selection or order; the responsible instructor on site does.
- Have it confirmed. The instructor checks the appropriate stage and records progress in the pass. This is not a digital self-test or an automatic clearance.
The pass is a personal record of participation and progress. It is not a swimming qualification, an official German Seepferdchen test, or general permission to perform jumps or landing positions.
FOR PARENTS. FOR INSTRUCTORS. FOR POOLS.
Plenty of fun.
Clear responsibility.
Is Pool Bombs a swimming badge?
A personal record can give children a familiar sense of achievement. Pool Bombs remains a separate Splashdiving participation format, however: it does not certify general swimming ability and is not an official swimming badge.
Can children try every position on their own?
No. The pass is not an instruction sheet for unsupervised practice. Each activity must suit the child, their actual swimming ability and the authorised local conditions. Not every landing position automatically belongs in a pool-edge session.
What about supervision and pool rules?
Children remain actively supervised. Jumps take place only at authorised, suitable entry points, with water that is deep enough and clear. Parents and accompanying adults agree responsibilities with the instructor and pool. General DLRG water-safety rules and local pool rules continue to apply. This reference does not imply DLRG certification of Pool Bombs.
Can I download or complete the pass online?
No. This page offers neither an online assessment nor a pass to complete independently. The original pass template and its individual stages have not been published here. Confirmation belongs in a personally supervised session, where the responsible instructor assesses the activity and local conditions. Please do not send children’s names, photographs or performance details to request a pass. No children’s profiles are created here.
Enquiring as a parent or guardian, or on behalf of a pool, school or another organisation? Use the training enquiry to describe your region, proposed activity and, if relevant, approximate group size without entering children’s personal details. The first step is to establish whether a suitable supervised activity is possible. An enquiry does not confirm a date, a particular instructor or a booking.
POOLY & POOLINA · THE ORIGINAL WORLD
Two water rockets.
A heart for adventure.
They were meant to spoil the fun. Instead, they found friends. Meet Pooly and Poolina and discover how their journey leads them from Professor Schadoo’s laboratory to a swimming pool in Bayreuth.

Pooly
The yellow water rocket with a great memory. Pooly remembers the professor’s door code and opens the way to freedom. He does not face the adventure alone: Poolina is right beside him.

Poolina
The pink water rocket and Pooly’s loyal friend. Together they find a way out of the laboratory and discover that a pool full of laughter is a far better place than the professor’s world.
A story to read together
An editorial, child-friendly abridgement of the supplied original “Die Geschichte von Pooly und Poolina”. This is a fantasy story, not a guide to jumping.
01 · A professor with no sense of fun
Far from Bayreuth, Professor Schadoo has a secret laboratory. There he creates Pooly and Poolina, two little water rockets. His plan is to spoil children’s fun in the water. But the professor has overlooked something important: the two rockets have kind hearts. They do not want to hurt anyone. They want to be free. Yet Krako, an iron creature with ten tentacles, watches over them.
02 · Together into freedom
One evening Krako needs repairs. This is their chance! Pooly and Poolina head for the locked door. Luckily, Pooly remembers the secret code. The door opens and they disappear into the night. A long journey begins. Always together, always searching for somewhere they can stay.
03 · Two splashes in Bayreuth
One evening the two reach Bayreuth. Their engines begin to falter. There is smoke, there is rattling, and suddenly they are falling. But instead of a hard landing they hear two splashes: they have landed in a swimming pool. The weary travellers find somewhere to rest by the edge. Only the next morning do they discover where their adventure has brought them.
04 · A place full of new friends
The sun is shining, and the first visitors bring children’s laughter into the pool. Pooly and Poolina are amazed: everywhere people are splashing, playing and laughing. It is the opposite of what Professor Schadoo wanted. Soon children discover the pair, and curious glances turn into friendships. Pooly and Poolina have found their place. But the professor and Krako have not given up looking for them.
Water rockets have fantastic adventures. Real children take part with responsible adults, personal instruction and an authorised pool area. The story is not an invitation to jump without supervision.
Original sketches by Illich Henriquez

How Splashdiving inspired Pool Bombs
The historical exposé describes the idea of giving younger children their own playful introduction to Splashdiving. Characters, stories and supervised activities were intended to connect enjoyment of the water with personal achievements. That original idea provides the background for this section. Historical event concepts are not currently bookable offers or confirmed dates.
