A summer seen from many angles.
Watch only the tower and you miss part of the story. In the 2008 archive, the view moves to the scoring board, the camera and the group photograph, then back above the water.
Closer to the people.
A microphone shifts the attention. A scoring board comes close to the camera, while other photographs step back to show people on the platform. Many different tasks meet around the pool.
A picture does not establish a result. The board belongs to one photographed moment; it cannot replace a results list. As an image, though, it makes the act of looking closely part of the story.

The view from above.
Lane markings draw dark lines through the blue. Between them, a body stands free in the frame for a tiny instant. In another picture, only the broken surface remains.
From above, Splashdiving has a graphic clarity of its own. Bodies, lines and water need little commentary. Open the photographs individually: the space around the diver belongs to the picture, too.

Pictures people gather for.
For a group picture, everyone moves a little closer. A car becomes the centre of a gathering; elsewhere, people stand on the grass or beside the pool. Three cover their eyes, ears and mouth. Gestures like these do not need an invented punchline.
The photographs come from different days of the year. They are not presented as one event. Together, they show something else: Splashdiving has produced not only diving pictures, but many shared photographs worth keeping.
