More than the dive stays with us.
A tower, a camera crew, yellow jerseys beside the pool. These July 2007 photographs make room for what happens before and after a dive, too.
Everyone who belongs.
The tower is the obvious meeting point. But the camera does not stay there: it follows a conversation with a video camera, people in yellow jerseys and a microphone beside the pool. Splashdiving has many faces in these pictures.
There is a message on a back and a closely packed row of spectators. Not everyone is at the centre of attention. That is why a second look matters: an event also consists of the people watching, filming or waiting for their turn.

Two directions, one pool.
One photograph holds two divers above the water at once. Others give a single body room against the trees. The background changes, and so does the impression of the dive.
These views sit beside one another without being presented as an invented sequence. Each photograph keeps its own moment.

Water beneath the hands again.
One frame is almost entirely spray. Another selected picture brings a face back above the surface, a hand moving through the water. The change from a big splash to a small, everyday moment brings the series close.
The original filenames credit C. Pollok. Camera dates place the photographs in July 2007. The story leaves open what the images cannot tell us: private thoughts, unlabelled names and competition placings.
