2006 · Dillingen: ein neuer Name für den Splash
Original archive · Looking back at 2005
The first Arschbombe national team.
A team on the tower. A pool full of people. And between them, that brief moment in the air where courage becomes skill. These original photographs from 2005 tell the story of a sport then known as Arschbombe.

One team.
A language of its own.
The first national team represents people who shaped something together. Florian Spiske became the first-ever Arschbombe national coach. The photographs show him preparing the team and the athletes in their element: on the tower, in front of the crowd and in the air.

The splash is the finale.
Christian “Elvis” Guth’s wide-open leg position captures what lies behind the great splash: body control, flexibility and precision. Preparation happens in the air. The crowd sees the splash at the end.

The Jump Chart of the time and the Bombing Bounce banner belong to this chapter too. Bombing Bounce was an early club and a precursor to Poolbombs. Its own story will be expanded from further original documents.
