SPLASHDIVING · Places that shaped the sport
Dillingen &
Sindelfingen.
Two historically important places. Two chapters of a sport that brings people together by the water.
Dillingen an der Saar · World Championship 2006
Dillingen.
Dillingen represents an early international competition chapter. The 2006 World Championship brought the scene together; surviving original records document individual, junior and synchro results.
The story is not only about who reached the podium. Places like this gave the young sport room to grow, turning individual jumps into a community and events into sporting development.
Sindelfingen · Worlds, community and Cups
Sindelfingen.
The 2015 World Championship made Sindelfingen’s outdoor pool another important setting. The event report names Rainhard Riede and Franziska Fritz as title winners; further World Championship chapters followed here. WELT event report, 2015
The later development matters too: Christian Carli’s and SCS’s Cups form their own event chapter. They are not retrospectively equated with the World Championships. The distinction is especially clear in 2022: Cup in June, Worlds in July. SCS event archive · SZ/BZ on the 2022 Worlds

The beginnings remain the beginnings.
Dillingen and Sindelfingen are places of development. The origin story starts earlier: with the Pecklamen Cup in 2003 and ARSCHBOMBE – THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in 2004. These chapters remain distinct and directly accessible.
